Clutter accumulates over time, sometimes without even knowing it. Cupboards, drawers, boxes, wardrobes etc etc At some point the clutter will inevitably become visible and/or a nuisance.
As I stood rummaging through various storage spaces today I realised that I had to be ruthless and throw out the unnecessary collection of junk my family had collected over the last few months.
Every aspect of life needs a system, in order to function. Even our bodies have a system, a way of getting rid of waste and storing the most important things we need. What is the use of keeping things that are useless or cause problems? None. So why do we hoard things? Some people may keep useless things in the hope that one day they might need them, some may keep things as they hold sentimental attachment to them, some may just not like to part with their property. In other cases some people may not want to get rid of the junk as if they do, then they risk part of themselves being exposed to others, and imho, that is THE only logical reason why Rupert Murdoch insists on hoarding Rebekah Brooks.
So, as I go through my messy family home and de clutter every nook and cranny, I have the satisfaction of knowing that at the end of it, everything will be organised and easily accessible - the only sensible way to find things.
I suppose if I wanted to hide something though, the best way to do it would be to keep all the unnecessary things, that way the important things would be a lot harder to uncover.

Hi Vicki, I've just registered with netmums blog network and stumbled on your blog. This post made me smile - I'm always talking about de-cluttering, but never quite get round to doing it!Glad the country's now getting round to a bit of de-cluttering of the Murdoch empire at last!
